Crowns

A crown covers the entire visible portion of a tooth. It is used when a tooth is broken, has a large cavity, has had root canal treatment, or has a visibly widening crack. While crowns come in different materials, the most common crowns are made of porcelain or ceramic to give them a natural look and feel.

Crown work takes two visits. The first visit involves reshaping the tooth, taking impressions, and fabricating a temporary crown. At the return visit in 2-3 weeks, the final laboratory-made crown will be placed after any necessary adjustments.
